"Hotel Regina is a very pleasant and thoughtfully run hotel. The attention to detail throughout the property reflects the care and pride the hotel takes in delivering a quality guest experience. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and responsive—every request we made was handled promptly and with courtesy. The location is truly unbeatable—right in the heart of Madrid, making it easy to explore the city on foot. We stayed in a penthouse room, which was charming and featured a spacious private deck. However, we were disappointed to find that the deck offered virtually no view, which was unexpected and did detract somewhat from the experience. That said, the overall quality, service, and comfort more than made up for it, and we feel the hotel still fully deserves a five-star rating from us."

"Decent stay for the price. If you’re looking for a budget place to stay while visiting Madrid this is a good option. Hostal is up a few flights of stairs so if you have issues with walking or climbing, may not be the place for you. Place is fairly old and the bathroom seems to be a recent addition, but it is a plus having one vs. sharing one in other sections of the hostal. No AC, but the the overhead fan worked and kept us cool in the heat. Walkable to everything. Overall, not the fanciest place but was a good stay to set base for our trip to Madrid."
