"Generally all was pleasant about this downtown Phoenix lodging EXCEPT there was NO elevator so we had to lug our heavy load up to the 2nd floor. We were pleased that there wasn't breakfast offered because we wanted to eat at Matts Big Breakfast nearby...best bacon I've ever eaten!"

"The staff were pleasant and helpful. I didn't realize this location was next to a hospital, where homeless tend to gather, so I was a little concerned walking back and forth to my car at night or early morning, but it was fine. You also have to pay for parking, I must not have read that in the description. The room was clean, as was the elevator and halls, common area, etc. I have 4 stars because of the homeless outside when I arrived, the hall I was on was noisy, and the pillows were lumpy....

"Super 8 apparently sold this property to Valley Inn. When I showed up, I was informed that they did not have my reservation, even though Expedia charged my card and sent me a confirmation email. Neither Super 8 nor Expedia informed me. Absolutely terrible and unacceptable communication."

"Very friendly staff, room was a bit stuffy but overall nice. The washrooms were a little frightening, stained and cracked bathtub and very small. Bed was super comfortable."
