"Entrance to this property is difficult to see at night. The house is an antiquity and quite beautiful. A look back into the past. The bed is quite comfortable. Breakfast was very good and hot. The only thing I missed was a hot waffle. The only downside was street noise through the night. It was sparce but noticeable and included train horns as they went through crossings. Fortunately, I like train sounds."

"This is a very good (clean and comfortable) motel and the parking is probably the most secure in town. . . . I had a car full of stuff and, based on reviewers comments, none of the major hotels' parking inspires confidence. At Tourway the parking lot is well lit and has a fence that doesn't completely enclose but is enough to prevent people from casually walking through. And you can park right in front of the window of your room. And it's a good motel -- I recommend it wholeheartedly."

"My five-star review was primarily due to the exceptional staff. Walter, the valet, set the tone with his outstanding service. Given the challenges of parking in downtown Birmingham, opting for the hotel's valet service proved worthwhile. My room's cleanliness and amenities were consistently maintained thanks to Angie from housekeeping. Throughout my stay, Rere and Charlea provided friendly assistance around the clock. "We recently stayed at Five Points South for a family wedding in Birmingham, and very much enjoyed our stay. There were three families in the house, and plenty of room for everyone. Lots of charm and very clean. Great backyard and front porch area. Will definitely stay here again if we are back in Birmingham."
