"This was my second visit one of the best hotels in the Savegre Valley for birders. The accommodations are excellent (including heating in the rooms & hot showers!), with the mountain-view villas being especially good for birders. A major bonus is a wonderful bird-feeding area attracting lots of hummingbirds & frugivores. The only drawback on this visit was the disappointing meals on our first evening - I hope just a reflection of temporary staffing problems. Fortunately excellent restaurants...

"Well, where do I start!I have had the best time! The place is so peaceful and beautiful, the perfect place to rest and recharge with nature. The service was really approachable and professional. The staff is proud of where they work and to deliver some of amazing food. I stayed for 5 days and tasted nearly every dishes on the menu. "Such a magical environment, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Allen’s passion for the forest and animals is contagious and encyclopaedic ; we learned so much. The property is surrounded by beautiful forests in all directions, and you eat breakfast watching hummingbirds and toucans. It’s truly incredible. "Tami lodge is located in a beautiful place far from civilization. We stayed in a glamping tent style that has a lovely shower and two comfortable beds. It was slightly cool at night which I loved because it made it easy to sleep. We needed to cancel the second night because we rescheduled our flight and we got our money back, no questions asked. I highly recommend this place. "

"It was amazing seeing all the different birds from their restaurant patio. I saw way more kinds of birds including two tucans from here than from the actual birds watching tours. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Nice city view too. "

"My stay at the Radisson was good. Close proximity to the airport and downtown San Jose. The property room is big and clean compare to be being 30 years old. Cleaning service came every day to clean and provided enough towels each day. The staff were amazing, every single one of them. I was not too impress with the food, but that was not just the food at the hotel but the food in general. I would definitely stay at this hotel again "

"Nice new hotel. Comfortable and clean. We were not happy with the arrangement for pick-up at the airport. No listing for HGI although other hotels were named on signage; we had multiple people trying to hustle us to take rides with them. Thankfully HGI shuttle driver eventually showed up and explained to us that he'd be back soon to pick us up (the hustlers kept saying (lying) that it would take 45 mins for him to return). HGI should have very clear signage at the airport and they should proactively communicate with arriving guests to make sure to only take a ride with the HGI shuttle"

"We stayed here the days of our arrival and departure from SJO. Perfect for our needs. Super clean room and facilities. Recognizing they are far from town, they offer dinner and bar service in the evening. Having a nice cocktail and dinner in our room was a relaxing way to end our day."
