"Once we found the entrance to the lane leading to the hotel off the narrow busy road we found outer look of Villa appealing but grounds needed work. Do not try to find the entrance at night on first try. Lee, the only one managing villa was wonderful and very helpful and kept everything very clean, but the inside needed some upgrade by owner, like having soap holder in shower. "Property did not have amenities advertised such as the gym, spa, or air conditioning. The staff gave excuses why they didn’t have. Like, there’s a gym 2 miles away, we can call someone to give a massage, or the AC doesn’t work due to top secret agreements with B&Bs in the area before June to save them money. No no. If you advertise it and I buy it, you need to provide it or refund the money you took by false advertising. "

"Was not near downtown Florence, so would not suit someone wanting to be near the main attractions, museums etc. but neighborhood was safe and walkable with great gelato and dining options within short walk. We even were able to walk to the train station 35 ish minutes away with luggage for our departure. Property would not suit someone who could not do stairs. "

"I booked a room with private bath, but, when arrived had to insist on it as they had me in without one. Took much longer to get to any of sights than listed on line. Traffic noise so loud at night I couldn't sleep. I went next door for coffee and bakery goods, instead of coffee from machine and commercially packaged items served. Staff was helpful."
