"We enjoy the area and boating in the bay and on the ocean side. The restaurants are good and we generally take a day down at Virginia Beach/Back Bay and a day up at Chincoteague/Assateague. They week we managed four solid days on the water. "

"The appeal of staying in a former bank was irresistible, plus it was available last minute when we needed it. Very clean and comfortable and well-equipped. The bed was also very comfortable. We would’ve loved to have had more time to use the fire pit and fish-cleaning and grilling area, but we did use the bicycles to bike the trail, immediately adjacent to the bank, to the nature center. It was a nice, easy almost 10 mile round trip. The location was perfect for exploring the eastern shore. Read...
