"Great stay, lovely staff, and a building full of character! Breakfast and the pool were truly awesome, too. The only downside was some furniture/equipment needing a bit of love (door knob broken on the bedside table, screw on the window loose, hook behind the door in the changing rooms of the pool broken etc), plus a bit of noise from the road but really nothing major at all, it was a lovely stay overall"

"I was traveling from the US with my wife, daughter (13 yrs old) and my nephew (16 yrs old). The hotel is very quaint and my kids loved the characters and tradition. It does not have many amenities but in Canterbury city center it is very convenient. The parking was a little tricky to find at night especially from someone from the US. The roads were small and signs were lacking. The biggest complaint was the heater in our room was not working and it was winter. But because of its charm and...

"I cannot praise this hotel highly enough! Just wish I could have stayed longer. The staff were kind & helpful, my room was spotless, warm & comfortable, the public areas were tastefully decorated, the grounds were beautiful & the buffet breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice. An excellent stay, right in the heart of Canterbury. Thank you!"

"Quiet & peaceful"

"I stayed in one the cottages and it was super; clean, cosy & warm and designed to a high standard. The private garden a great addition. The restaurant and food is good quality and I thought priced reasonably. Chilham is a pretty village and the White Horse Inn is also super for a drink with the locals. Canterbury is a short drive, or train journey so a great place if you want to visit the city but be in the country. I loved it. "
