"We had stayed at the abode hotel on the 21st and was amazed by the welcoming at the front desk to then opening the door to our bedroom and being amazed by the style of the room very comfy and well furnished "

"The hotel is very well located in the centre of Canterbury, only a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Sanjeewa, who runs the hotel, was very friendly, welcoming, and always helpful during our stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Though the decor could use a bit of an update, this didn't affect our stay at all, and you can hardly expect more at such a reasonable price! A continental breakfast was also included with toast, crumpets, muffins, yoghurts, cereal, jams, honey, etc. Though there wasnt any parking at the hotel we booked parking a minute's walk away through Just Park, which worked well for us. Sanjeewa did contact me prior to our stay though, advising about parking and offering to let us drop off luggage to save us having to walk with it. We all really enjoyed our stay at Greyfriars Lodge and would happily visit again in the future. "

"Had a lovely stay for one night at the Falstaff. Very historic inn dating back to the 16th Century. Room lovely and clean with comfortable bed. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly."

"This was a wonderful place for a mid-week stay in Canterbury. The location cannot be surpassed -- standing next to the gates to the Cathedral. It's accessible to all kinds of places. The staff is attentive, kind, and helpful. My bedroom was clean with a good bed. The breakfast was wonderful. This is an old hotel that is high on charm. Not everyone may appreciate the slanting floors and mutiple staircases. But if you want to stay at a historic inn, this is a wonderful option. Will return again."

"Around 176 rooms all cleaned every day. Includes good breakfast. Easy parking in nearby multi-storey, but expensive. Only minus was the toilet rolls were very thin paper! Otherwise brilliant."
