It was a very unique experience being in the villa because it’s all open floor plan with only screens separating you from the forest. "This place truly had it all Beautiful home and property- spacious and lovely environment to hang out inside or outside Wonderful staff- Elias and Betty were so kind and attentive, gave great recommendations, anticipated our needs and went above and beyond DELICIOUS food- seriously some of the best meals we’ve eaten, for every single meal. "good location to town, but the neighborhood was really noisy at nights (the dogs barking woke us up every night several times) and the windows are not made to keep any sound out. The refrigerator was broke for our entire 5 night stay. We had the use of the dorm size fridge from the lower level but that was not sufficient for a family of 6 for 5 nights, in particular over Christmas when markets were closed for 2 days in a row. "Everything about this property was amazing! Monika was probably the best VRBO host we have encountered, Toucan Villa was perfect for four adults, the central location allowed us to easily visit all of the sites on our itinerary, and the large, covered front porch was the perfect spot to spend a rainy afternoon drinking Belizean rum. "We had a wonderful stay at the Mahogany Hall. They were so friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious. They made sure that we were able to eat before our tours in the morning and even prepared our dinner a little early on the day of our arrival because we had not eaten. Belize Mystic River

"The staff, the food, the service all excellent. Only comment is that having a massage during the rain on the yoga platform was not up to your standards. We had to ask several times for our massage to be in our rooms instead of freezing out in the open. Other than that our stay was very good and I would highly recommend Mystic River to anyone going to Belize."

"Vanilla Hills was a beautifully designed and executed resort. Every detail was carefully thought through and we were well taken care of for every part of our stay. Claudia, Karina and the entire staff were so attentive and kind. The food and drinks were incredible, and we loved getting to watch all the wildlife visiting to munch on fruit provided by the groundskeepers. Vanilla Hills coordinated all of our transport and excursions to be provided by Belize Caving Expeditions, and everything was top quality and so much fun. Thank you Vanilla Hills team! "

"We had the best stay there! The pool is awesome and the staff were very friendly. The grounds are a little overgrown… and this place looks like Covid hit it pretty hard, but it has SO much potential and we had such a great time that I hope more people stay there! Our room/cabana had a king and 2 doubles- Perfect for our family of 5! "
