"If I could give 6 stars I would. From the moment we arrived and even before our arrival the staff was proactive and attentive. It was my husbands birthday and they decorated the room and had a table in the restaurant decorated for us with a cake. My mother in law stayed with us and they converted the living room sofa to a bed. The food was great with cheese made on property abd vegetables from their own garden. You truly feel like you are staying in a jungle oasis. We will definitely be back. "

"The staff are friendly, willing to help and they are able to set up tours and taxis for you. We liked the restaurant in the resort and found it to be delicious. We also liked that the pool was opened late. They have a great bar, cafe and gift shop as well. We stayed in one of the Cabanas and there is a hammock so you can enjoy the spectacular view from the enclosed porch. We would definitely stay again."

"The staff were really helpful and friendly! We were really confortable in the room. The shower had great water pressure and felt so clean and updated. The upstairs patio was our favourite place to hang out in the shade. The location is great, with everything you could need being within a 10 minute walk."

"I wish we would have planned more time here vs at the coast. Cohune Palms was the highlight of our Belize trip. This place was paradise!! We were reluctant at first due to no a/c but the weather cooled off at night and was perfect. Fans during the day kept everything enjoyable. The river next to the resort was beautiful and a blast to swim in and enjoy the rope swing. We have 50x the mosquitos here in California…with a little bug spray you barely even notice them there. Mike, the owner of the property, has built a truly perfect paradise over the past 25 years and you won’t find a nicer host. He knows everything about the area. He and his crew will cook for you every meal if you want so you really don’t need to leave the property but the area is safe and the people are so friendly we walked or took or rental car all over without any issues. I can’t recommend this place enough. We had the whole place to ourselves and I can’t believe it’s not on every major travel site. Truly a hidden gem that I hate to review and spoil the secret but Mike deserves all the success in the world so I’m doing it :) "

"All of the staff go above, and beyond their duties, to ensure that the guests have the best experience. I enjoyed walking around the property. I took the plant and edibles tour on the property. The food in the restaurant is very good. It’s definitely worth staying there, for the experience."

"This is a very special property in the jungle. The food prepared at the restaurant was superb. There was a lovely infinity pool that we were able to enjoy. (Temps were in the mid-90s) We stayed in one of the treehouses and loved it. Very well appointed. Pretty pathways throughout the property. Be sure to visit the green iguana rescue in San Ignacio. The property's location is handy for Mayan ruins and cave tours. Love this place."

"This place is a hidden gem, we sprung for the villa and it was well worth it. Missing this place as we’re in San Pedro, very new with all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway. Villa Massis brings the amenities to the jungle, we loved seeing monkeys on the property. The staff and food were excellent, resort offers a very intimate dining experience. Don’t hesitate to book, highlight of our trip. "
