"We stayed 1 night. Our studio--sitting room, large bathroom, and bedroom--was very spacious with many amenities: coffee/water/materials for eating in. Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. "

"Lovely quiet village, ideal location for walkers and dogs, no shops in Portinscale only 1 pub and a cafe. We stayed in apartment- and ate at pub in Portinscale only a 15 minute walk into Keswick lovely walk. Apartment clean , everything you need . The building is Victorian, plenty of room in apartment set in lovely grounds. It is dated, and the hall entrance could do with repainting and new carpets to make it more inviting for guests. "Owners of Cottage provided a phone number to call one week before our arrival. Numerous attempts each day and "no one" answered the phone. And there wasn't any way to leave a message. On our way to the unit, we had an emergency, one member, in the emergency room for 3 hours. I tried getting hold of the unit, no response so I called VRBO. We had to cancelled because I could not speak with the owner about our situation and their accommodations. Request complete refund."
