"We have just got home from a lovely two night stay at The Bridge Inn. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were given a warm welcome. The room that we booked was a cosy double. It was everything we expected. It was small but adequate for our stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. "The room was amazing very clean, comfortable and modern. The bed was very comfy. The shower was walk in and very hot. The view from our room shown the river and was very beautiful to look at The only thing about the room was the road traffic noise you could hear. The pub itself was very busy and the breakfast was really good. We also had a meal and that was brilliant too. The staff was very helpful and really informative. Would recommend a stay here."

"We stayed here as a couple but also as part of a larger family group, including my niece and nephew (12 and 8 respectively). Our room was the Illingworth room. It was huge, facing out across the road to the lovely old church. Road noise was minimal and the bed extremely comfy with good pillows which were not too soft, perfect for us. We slept well. "Super friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the town centre. Nice comfy clean and well maintained room. Very effective heating (which we turned down for sleeping!) on a bitterly cold February weekend. There's a limited number of free customer (non bookable) car parking spaces at the front of the building. "A fabulous little gem. The bar man even fixed my broken heel! Now that's going above and beyond. The lovely ladies even made My dog his own sausage for breakfast. Beds were comfy. My only issue would be it's a little bit cold in places but it's a old building whose owners (not staff) need to give it a bit of TLC "

"Amazing. Right from the start the staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. Food was delicious - we ate at the hotel for dinner - having the 'pigs' in blanket sharing starter and then both steak pies. Next morning - breakfast was great - although there was no 'bacon' for us - the server compensated by offering us additional sausages - so it wasn't too much of a disappointment. "

"Absolutely stunning property, our stay was 5* from start to finish. The ambience & the decor is beautiful but it was the service we received by all of the staff and the food which was the highlight of our trip. Everything we ate & drank was phenomenal & the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. We will definely be back."

"Local, family managed hotel, located on a beautiful spot of the river. Lovely vibe, and welcoming and the breakfast was exceptional!! It’s not a Holiday Inn /Marriott formulaic residence, much more of an authentic local hotel, so without some of the frills, but the honest warm welcome and great food more than makes up"

"Nice pub, our room was above bar so you could hear the bar below, it's a pub at the end of the day so you have to expect some noise. Room clean and tidy bed comfy shower good and hot, tea making facilities tea bags wont replenished. For the price of room it was value for money. Location good for the city center and railway station "

One night stay to see Jon Culshaw at City Variety

"I stayed for one night to go see Jon Culshaw at City Varieties Music Hall. I really like this hotel brand anyway and this particular hotel is 100% perfect. Possibly the best one that Ibis has. Excellent staff, a tremendous food offering and just the look and feel of every part of it. The rooms and the facilities in them are superb, the curiously endearing Scandinavian sounding voice in the lift, the quirky wooden key cards and the sausages on the breakfast buffet. All perfect "

"The hotel is actually connected to the railway station which is excellent if travelling by train. We loved our stay. The heating was broken in our room. We were offered a different room but decided to accept the offer of a heater intead. Only one issue regards breakfast. There was no option for vegetarian sausages was part of the main buffet. Also there was only one egg option which was fried. To order scrambled eggs would have incurred a whole breakfast upgrade. A bit disappointing so may not choose to have breakfast at a future stay."
