"This hotel was perfect. Walking distance to the centre of Windermere with lots of bars and cafes. Additionally great bus links although we chose to drive which was equally convenient as there was onsite parking. You can take boat trip a 15/20 min walk away. Shower is basic but the hotel room was stunning and a really comfy bed with smart tv. Overall extremely happy and would stay again :) "

"It is such a beautiful and peaceful place. The lodge was very clean, spacious and well equipped. Walking along the lake is beautiful. There's lots of nice activities too so especially for children. We took a speed boat in the lake which was exciting. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, the minigolf, playing ping pong and the arcade. The food in the restaurant was delicious too. We'll definitely be going again :)"

"Just spent a wonderful 2 night stay here with my partner. Everything was amazing we stayed in room 1. A beautiful upstairs corner room with a lovely view and sun all afternoon. The room was spotless with a lovely comfy bed there was everything we needed and it was very quiet. The bathroom is a little snug if you’re a larger person but again spotless with a great shower. Breakfast was delicious and everyone who worked there so friendly and helpful. We met Sue one of the owners on the last day absolutely lovely lady. Perfect location a 6/7 min walk from the lake. Parking was easy and we were allowed to park from 11am and to leave the car til 1pm allowing us more time to explore. I would highly recommended and can’t wait to come and stay here again. Thank you for the perfect couple of days."

"Very enjoyable 2 night stay. Walkable (just) to Bowness - but uphill back! Very helpful staff. Property is slightly dated and in need of redecoration, but we enjoyed it. Lovely evening meal and breakfast."

"We’ve just returned from celebrating my birthday weekend and we've had the best time ever. We truly did feel like a King and Queen for the weekend! All the staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful with the best views of Lake Windermere 😍 Thank you for an amazing stay Love from The Parr’s xx Just want to add we’ve been coming to Bowness for around 15 years to celebrate my birthday weekend but this was the first time staying at Belsfield as it’s also our 20th year of being Married (August). We have always admired it from afar and have stayed in surrounding accommodations but this weekend has blown all the accommodations out of the water. We have had the best weekend ever.
