"Friendly and efficient staff at front desk made the check-in a very easy process, room was a good size with a very comfortable king size bed, excellent shower and bathroom. Rooms were a bit dated but very clean and tidy with tea making facilities, iron and board plus a room safe. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Hotel also has a nice pool (did not use as only there one night)."

"Really enjoyed our two-night stay in one of the turret suites. The hotel was still beautifully decorated for Christmas but very peaceful being a few days after Hogmanay. Overall condition of the building is excellent, especially given its age and historic nature, which must make it a real challenge to maintain. Our room, bathroom and the turret lounge above were very clean and well presented. Excellent comfy super-king bed. Public rooms were lovely - warm and welcoming. Swimming pool area was very clean and a pleasure to use."

"Wonderful hotel and staff overall. Only negatives were no late room service due to having no stock on both nights understandable with it being 1st & 2nd January but slightly disappointing but got an UberEats so all good. Secondly despite late check out and confirming this with staff and putting do bot disturb sign on door housekeeping still came into room 2 hours before checkout time while we were in. Otherwise our stay was comfortable and pleasant. Bar staff were lovely as were reception staff. "

"Really enjoyed my stay at Carnoustie golf hotel and spa check in fast and efficient ,needed a Double bed rather than 2 singles no problem for the very pleasant receptionist, a great stay congratulation's on the refurbishment "

"Loved everything about the property. Staff were amazing , they were welcoming, warm, friendly and made every effort to make your stay a positive experience. The room we occupied was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty draw space to put your clothes into, but no hanging space. That said with the angles of the walls and the eaves of the room meant there was no place to actually fit a wardrobe for this purpose, so without major renovation to the room, this was beyond the hotels control. The only other minor point is that there was no toilet brush in the bathroom, but this by no means had any impact on our stay !"

"A great place to stay. Check in was delightful, room was warm and cozy, hot shower and comfy bed. We ate dinner in the main restaurant, the food was outstanding. Great flavours and presentation. Whisky, scrabble and a roaring fire in the bar afterwards. Breakfast was good and a quick visit to the hens before departing."
