"A very warm welcome as soon as I entered the hotel awaited me. I was soon checked-in and away to my room that was a cosy single. The room and en-suite were both clean and the bed very comfortable. There was a super choice for breakfast both continental and full English etc. I chose the latter that set me up for the day and was delicious. I had dinner on 2 occasions and that was beautifully cooked and well presented. I shall definitely return next time I am in the area. "

"The room is dated but the bed and pillows were comfortable. It needs better lighting in the room as it is very dull and un inviting plus the desk lamp was not working. With the design of all rooms you do feel like you are staying at a Butlins site. The evening meal in the pub was very good but the breakfast was acceptable but needed to be hotter I stayed one night which is fine but wouldn’t want to stay longer "
