"Had a great stay for two nights. Bed very comfortable and good quality linen. The shower cubicle was tiny and uncomfortable to use and I’m not a big person by any stretch. It was ok for the short stay though. Was a bit surprised only continental breakfast was included considering the room rate. "

"Welcoming, friendly, efficient staff. Fabulous lunch on arrival in the new restaurant. Lovely bedroom, slept really well. Big bathroom. The room was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was tasty. We really loved this hotel which is convenient for the town centre and the nearby theatre is only a ten minute walk. Wish everywhere we stayed was as good as this place. Well done everyone. "

"Ship is a centrally located old inn with fresh life being infused the bar and restaurant have happened and bedrooms are in progress although no signs of disruption.Good work is occuring. "

"Had a lovely 2 night stay here. Absolutely amazing view of the sea from my room, couldn’t get enough of waking up to it. Definitely booking The Halcyon again when I’m back in Eastbourne. Thanks to all the staff for being so amazing and helpful! Lots of love and best wishes."

"We stayed on a Sunday night in a HUGE family room. Beautiful high ceilings and a stunning stained glass window in an old building. The room was clean and had complimentary tea/coffee/milk etc and bottled water. The small bathroom was functional and clean and met all of our needs. The beds were comfy and we all slept very well. The staff were friendly and welcoming. No hot food was served but the staff had lovely recommendations for food nearby. There was no breakfast but we found a nice cafe...

"An elderly property essentially on the esplanade. Of course that means no lift making it inaccessible for some. On the other hand the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was good and the price was incredibly low. This might have been because I visited "off season" but it was certainly about half the cost of any other lodging I used during a two-week trip across the south coast. I'd definitely go back again."

"Fantastic location and such a beautiful place! Room was very comfortable and with a lot of little treats. Very clean and lovely! Good shower and lovely touch with all soaps and shampoo provided! Bottle of vino was an amazing treat! Breakfast was delicious and staff was so friendly and polite! Very comfortable beds and the decor was very tasteful. Beautiful location and plenty of parking space! Thank you for amazing experience we had and we will be back! "

"Absolutely wonderful stay. Room was beautiful, with added bonus of sofa and reclining chair making the room a home from home. Excellent position 5 mins from seafront and Congress Theatre. Wonderful breakfast, lovely bar area for a night cap if needed, Chris & Caroline are perfect hosts, warm and friendly. Can not recommend highly enough. "

"Bathroom shower tiles could do with more attention to cleaning. Otherwise, pleasant stay and welcoming staff and owners. The room we stayed in was at the back of the property and and you could hear downstairs occupants early early AM which did disturb our sleep. However, the B&B was a pleasent stay Its located within a 20 min walk to the Old Town and central shopping areas. 5 mins walk from the pier. Local.corner shops too. "

"I had a lovely spacious room and great en-suite shower room. It had everything you could want, fluffy towels and nice toiletries. A fridge with chilled water and fresh milk. Also a comfortable guest lounge with extra refreshments available. The staff were very friendly helpful and efficient. "

"Great house to stay in with a large group. If you are looking for privacy from family (Honeymoon) this isn't the right place as you can hear everything. However we had a blast and the property is just amazing. We had an issue with one of the showers leaking but thw host was right on it and swnt a plumber asap to try and fix the problem. They were great with communication throughout our entire stay. 10/10 would recommend and stay again. "

"Tucked away on the corner of paddocks this is a peaceful getaway. We stayed for two nights. Cabin was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable and warm. Lovely log burner that we only used once. Shower lovely and hot. Outside there are paddocks with two horses and two Shetlands. There is also a pig that kept us entertained with her snoring. "Good convenient location. Clean well appointed rooms. Staff welcoming and very helpful. Only issue is the room on the 2nd floor was unbearably warm and there was no way to manually control it. The staff provided a floor fan on our second night and moved us to an upper floor day 3 and 4. I would stay again but request a higher floor. "

Such a gentleman that works at the front desk (wished I got his name) but he helped me with my bags to and from the car as I am pregnant and they was heavy bags. Thank you for much for the lovely stay and I will definitely be back soon. "

"One of the many good things about The View in Eastbourne is that it has a number of single rooms, and they represent particularly good value for money. Also, great sea views, friendly and helpful staff, nice food, good value, and very clean. My only negative experience is only a minor one. It's just a bit fiddly if you want breakfast in your room - you have to go to reception to get a little form to indicate your order, and then give it back to reception for them to take it from there. No such forms in the rooms, and no option to hook the form on your door for the night porter to collect the form and give it to the kitchen. Perhaps if you scan the code on the leaflet in the room it gets simpler, but I got a message on my phone saying it was out of date. Overall a great stay though, and the restaurant is very spacious if you want a quiet table for breakfast. "
