"The Lookout is a great little hotel right in Rye. If its 5* you are looking for it is not, but lovely building in reasonable condition. Huge room with terrace that was nice. Very comfortable bed with lots of soft bed linen and pillows. Bathroom was a little dated but it all worked and lots of toiletries. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of food for all tastes and you can eat what you want, all freshly cooked. Continental food was fresh and tasty. No lunch or evening food so very quiet. Shame because nice bar and outside sitting area. Staff very helpful and nice. Overall a great stay. Thank you."

"a great stay. the grounds are beautiful and lovely to sit with a drink overlooking the lake. All the staff were a credit to the establishment so friendly and helpful. lovely room with a balcony. it is an old building which is part of its charm, the balcony area needed a bit of tlc, the room however was lovely and a really comfy bed. would return in a heartbeat"
