"Our room, a junior suite was quite large and surgically clean. Bathroom was very modern, large and with great water pressure. Staff was great. My only caution would be to comment that this is not an air-conditioned hotel in the usual sense. There is a system which can be set to lower the temperature in the room slightly, but we found it ineffective. If you're not comfortable sleeping in a warm room, this hotel might best be considered only in the cooler months. "

Our room overlooked one of the Christmas Markets, you stepped out the front door and you were there, yet in our room you couldn’t hear any outside noise! "Every two weeks I travel to my property in Italy and Basle is the perfect midway point from Calais so to find the Carathotel in the perfect location just off the motorway with a large free car park is fantastic.Always friendly staff (even during Covid)large rooms with the very much appreciated bathtub.But as others have mentioned the breakfast choice and quality is my main reason for staying there. I think it offers incredible value for money also."

I would describe the staff as efficient but not overly friendly and it was disappointing there were no doorman to assist with bags etc. The restaurant was really good and here our server really was super friendly and our dinner was most enjoyable.
