"During Eurovision so outside was noisy, crowded and probably not as clean as usual. But big police presence and didn’t see many problems considering number of people. Good job! And a beautiful, charming city. I’d love to return when it’s quieter. "

"It was overall of excellent standards however beds not exactly comfortable and pillows were extremely soft (in a bad way) and beds did not seem to be straight as we got the sensation that the head part was collapsing making you feel like you are sleeping upside down. Also, extremely gimmicky to use lifts due to different cards and designated lifts for different areas. Having said that, staff was incredibly polite and professional, they accommodated a very special request to fantastic standards and promptly, hotel was clean as you’d expect and overall a very high standard service (including catering)"

"Check-in was easy and friendly. We had a superior room which was quiet, facing out to a courtyard rather than the road. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities good. It was great to have a pool as well as the gym. The breakfasts were plentiful, setting us up for the day. We were initially unsure about the hotel's location as the route took us sideways away from the recognisable routes to the old town, past a park and down a steep, secluded slope. However once there the hotel is on a wide road served by trams and with the theatre area only about 10 minutes walk away. There is also a parallel street full of bars and restaurants so there is plenty of choice nearby. Overall, we were very happy with our choice of hotel and recommend it highly."

"Great stay! Highly recommend. Perfect neighbourhood - walkable to most sights plus great connections to public transport. On site restaurant is magnificent as well including a cute courtyard to enjoy in warmer days. The Junior Suite was very spacious and well designed. "

"Great hotel - was able to let me into my room a bit early which was appreciated. Also upgraded my room as I’m 193cm and the staff said my original room may be a bit small! Bit of an older style decor etc but clean and functional. Great location on Clarastrasse, but quiet in room at back. "

"This is a lovely hotel. The staff are really charming, go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Rooms really well appointed with great shower and comfy beds. It is also very centrally located, you can walk everywhere in less than 15 minutes. We were very happy at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Basel - you won't be disappointed! We were sorry to leave!"

"The Krafft Hotel is a supreme example of preserving something with older charater but at the same time making it fresh, clean and up to date. It has great character. The staff were very helpful and as good as any hotel I have stayed at. The cutomer service was exemplary. Overall, our stay could not have been better."
