"The Grand Canal was very convenient to getting about the main part of town, and its adjacency to the DART made it easy to get to farther points. The variety of food options, from the daily breakfast to the quick coffee/pick-up food/light lunch in the lobby, to the brewpub attached made it very simple and enjoyable to hang out with my travel companions if we were too tired to venture out. The bathrooms were the nicest I saw on my trip, although I would have loved a bathtub for a soak."

"The staff were almost all great. The ones that weren't great were still quite good. The pub downstairs is very large, and it's convenient. The combinations of price, location, and the property made it great. It's not a movement building, but it has charm. Posts of the room were a bit odd, like the hairdryer not bring in the bathroom and having to duck it you want to look in the mirror while you dry your hair, but that's just amusing. "Good enough, comfy bed, good breakfast and dinner. Gym is not worth going to and needs expanding x 5 and investment in new kit. For a hotel this size to have a gym with 20 year old kit that fits 5 people is not good enough. Room was quite old fashioned, perfectly good enough and comfy! Need a spruce up I think, but fundamentally I’d happily stay there again. "
