"Loved the place and the remoteness. The water pump wasn't working, but a solution was promptly provided. It wasn't the best situation, but it worked. Also, the second bed appeared to be a mattress pad behind the main bed. We ended up just sharing the bed for the duration of the stay. Would return, but would love those issues/inaccuracies to be fixed."

"Our goal for this trip was to revisit the Finger Lakes area in upstate NY to see the peak fall foliage; hike to see some of the beautiful waterfalls; bike a rails-to-trail distance; walk our small pups on a trail; enjoy the scenery & local cuisine; and just relax. "No real complaints here! Our host went above and beyond to make things right for us and the cabin was a great way to stay somewhere nice and secluded for a couple nights. Geneva and Watkins Glen were both cool places to visit, the wine was great, and we had some killer food at a couple different local restaurants as well."

"The cabin was absolutely perfect! The hosts are very thoughtful, providing coffee, cups, towels and bedding along with other amenities to make you feel at home! Loved the seclusion but also close enough to activities in the area. I would highly recommended this place! I will definitely stay here again when in this area!enough"

"The yurt was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the wood burning stove almost every night, played lots of puzzles and games, and enjoyed sightseeing in the area. We would have enjoyed getting to know the sheep and chickens a little (we were visited regularly by two handsome black kitties), but alas we couldn't find a time. Next time!"

"Great spot to relax and unwind. There is no TV or microwave but the wood stove was an amazing bonus; so relaxing to have a live fire in December. All other ammenities were available (pots/pans/silverware, etc.) We took a laptop and the Internet was SOLID as we streamed movies from the kitchen table. No interruptions whatsoever. The couch and bed were so comfy. We met our host; she was so friendly. Would do this again. Highly recommend. "

"The carpet had multiple stains in three bedrooms and the upstairs hallway. The pool house had a dirty floor and an iron stained pool. If I had gone in the pool I would have brought dirt in from the previous people."

"We stayed in the cabin while we attended the Deck the Halls wine trail. The cabin was very nice and clean and all of the necessary amenities were provided. While the house is not directly on the lake, it is just a short walk down to the dock listed by the property. "

"This cabin is in the perfect location and has AMAZING views!! It has a lot of space and a lot of steps which isn’t great for carrying luggage and groceries up to the main floor and then more steps for the open loft bedroom. We were fine with it, but keep that in mind. The bedrooms were a bit warm. We couldn’t lock the door when leaving because the code lock wasn’t working at the time we were there. "Annual girls weekend for 5. This was a new location this year instead of the beach...The serene surroundings were perfect, a little chill in the air and the town of Skaneatles is charming. Basement bedroom did not have adequate heater flow and the overall cabin needed a good clean and some recaulking but we enjoyed the rustic accommodations. Thank you for a great getaway."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the place. The bunk house had loads of cobwebs though and doesn't look like it has been used in a while so no one in our group wanted to use it. I just have an overall issue with the increased prices of VRBO's with the added fees. There is a company that managed this property and then VRBO's fees on top of that made it expensive. VRBO properties used to be comparable to nice hotels but now they are well above that. Hope that can change because we love...

"This was our third stay at the Love Shack and it couldn’t have been better! We come each fall to tour wineries and waterfalls. The Love Shack is cozy and relaxing with an amazing view of the rising sun each morning, a lovely deck, and all the amenities for a long weekend stay. The location is great for traveling around Seneca and Keuka. The winery across the street-Scout-is wonderful!"

"There was nothing about our stay that wasn’t perfect. Even the rainy weather gave us an opportunity to catch up, play some ping pong, and enjoy our favorite spot - the screened in back porch! As a retired nurse and part-time cleaner for an a vacation rental, I and my sisters were very impressed with the cleanliness of the property! We also enjoyed the deer and other wild life that visited with us. Thank you!"

The space was just the right size for a couple to stay with extra room for local family to visit for meals and hangout time. I wish we had more time to explore the trail around the property.
