"Loved the place and the remoteness. The water pump wasn't working, but a solution was promptly provided. It wasn't the best situation, but it worked. Also, the second bed appeared to be a mattress pad behind the main bed. We ended up just sharing the bed for the duration of the stay. Would return, but would love those issues/inaccuracies to be fixed."

"The yurt was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the wood burning stove almost every night, played lots of puzzles and games, and enjoyed sightseeing in the area. We would have enjoyed getting to know the sheep and chickens a little (we were visited regularly by two handsome black kitties), but alas we couldn't find a time. Next time!"

"Great spot to relax and unwind. There is no TV or microwave but the wood stove was an amazing bonus; so relaxing to have a live fire in December. All other ammenities were available (pots/pans/silverware, etc.) We took a laptop and the Internet was SOLID as we streamed movies from the kitchen table. No interruptions whatsoever. The couch and bed were so comfy. We met our host; she was so friendly. Would do this again. Highly recommend. "

"Annual girls weekend for 5. This was a new location this year instead of the beach...The serene surroundings were perfect, a little chill in the air and the town of Skaneatles is charming. Basement bedroom did not have adequate heater flow and the overall cabin needed a good clean and some recaulking but we enjoyed the rustic accommodations. Thank you for a great getaway."

"This was our third stay at the Love Shack and it couldn’t have been better! We come each fall to tour wineries and waterfalls. The Love Shack is cozy and relaxing with an amazing view of the rising sun each morning, a lovely deck, and all the amenities for a long weekend stay. "There was nothing about our stay that wasn’t perfect. Even the rainy weather gave us an opportunity to catch up, play some ping pong, and enjoy our favorite spot - the screened in back porch! As a retired nurse and part-time cleaner for an a vacation rental, I and my sisters were very impressed with the cleanliness of the property! We also enjoyed the deer and other wild life that visited with us. Thank you!"

"Had a wonderful weekend trip with my boyfriend and our dog. Clean house with all of the amenities. Short ride to Aurora (cute small town) and 1/2 hour to Ithica (hiking and city). Corner store and a couple of wineries nearby. Would definitely stay again when we can use the lake, but enjoyed the sunsets and beautiful mornings. "
