"The jungle trail on the property was great. We saw a lot of wildlife and plants. The food at the lodge was very good and breakfast included was delicious. We stayed in the Chalet and had amazing views. Overall the property was great but highly recommend checking in during the day due to the 2km drive off the main road to the property. "

"We really loved the location and staff at this hotel - the view is BEAUTIFUL over-looking the lake and was the highlight of the hotel and they've created cute decks in front of each room which are nice to relax on. The rooms and beds are fine but we did have bugs (including a cockroach) in the room. I understand this is sometimes common in Costa Rica so we try to be understanding about that, but it did poorly impact our night's sleep. Ultimately, we were happy we chose to stay at the lake...

"Beautiful boutique hotel. Only 6 rooms. each individually decorated . Owner chef welcoming and very personable. Amazing tasting meal available as well as regular menu. Enjoy the included family style breakfast (for hotel guests only) while you watch Toucans at the feeders. Highly recommend stopping at Gingerbred!"

"This property is about 45mins away from the busy resort area. The individual guest houses, provide views of the lake. The meals at La Mansion Inn are good and the variety is sufficient enough render driving to another place excessive. Pair all of that with friendly staff and you’ll have the option of adventure or simply relaxing."
