"Nice hotel but dated. Could do with refreshing to bring Upto modern day standard. Bit more expensive than would expected and definitely didn't like the restaurant food standard wasn't good. Even under cooked chips and that's a something simple to cook."

"Our 2nd visit to lovely hotel, it is nicely situated for easy access to Cardiff and surrounding area. Facilities are excellent, restaurant has a good menu and the food is superb. "

"The things that stood out the most was how incredibly friendly was every staff member in the hotel and how clean the hotel was, my room smelled nice when I arrived. Breakfast was good, it’s a shame that advertised dinner service was not available on neither days off my stay. The Negative point is non existent sound insulation and super loud kids at almost 11pm."

"Have stayed here before and would happily return. Staff are really helpful and friendly, and the food- we had breakfast and dinner - is tasty and plentiful. The whole place is clean and well-looked after and almost feels out of place in a town as run down as Blaenavon. We love the sauna, a bit of a treat after a long day out. Great hotel

"Had a lovely stay here, very centrally located in the shopping area. Comfortable good size room plus breakfast was really nice. Only downside is that there is only one lift for both staff and guests so you can end up waiting a while for it!"
