All in all this was a good place to stay. However, on Wednesday evening I was bit able to get a drink from the bar. I has to say quite loudly "excuse me" to get the attention of two people who were standing behind the bar and discussing a problem. Then when 8 asked fir a half of Guinness the man said "there is no Guinness" and reverted to his discussion. I gave up and went to my room.

Great place with nice room. The check in went so smoothly in a matter of a few minutes we were already heading to our room which was clean and quiet. Parking was so accessible just in front of the hotel. Access to city centre was quick. Breakfast was great,

Ex Trusthouse Forte hotel that now requires a little refurbishment. Air unit in the room was dirty and did not look like it had been recently serviced. Lighting in the room too dim. Also lights in bathroom not bright enough. Reasonably sized car park. Easy public transport connection to city centre, bus service from outside on the main road, 5mins walk away.

My room was clean and the hotel looked modern and just to my taste! For the price point I would say second to none! I really meant to have taken down their names but I was in a rush to go and forgot! I drove from London and arrived after midnight last night - the guy in reception kindly arranged a late check out of 2pm this afternoon which allowed me a lie in and well needed rest! He was fantastic! He asked if possible for me to try leave by 1:30pm which I of course obliged! The guy in reception this morning took a call from me at 9:30am asking when breakfast ended. He told me 9:30am but if I came down now I will be able to get something to eat. Lo and behold he asked the restaurant staff to hold it open for me and I managed to get something to eat! What a star! The guy who kept things open for me in the restaurant was sooooo great! He was trying to clear things away but was in no way intrusive. He patiently left me to it (I am a slow eater) and even asked if I wanted to grab any pastries before he clears them away! What a fabulous start to my 1st ever visit to Cardiff - thanks guys xx

Great free parking. Great breakfast Had to keep going to reception to ask for: Heating to be put on as room was cold Tv to be reset No room service menu...there was supposed to be a QR code in the room to access...there wasn't but receptionist didnt believe me so went out to eat instead as she was so unhelpful. Other staff very nice.

The food was good staff friendly and helpful. It was Dog friendly and no charge for them. Parking at the hotel was free another bonus when you have to pay to park in Cardiff. I would definitely stay again but need the room to be quieter than last time.
