"This elegant and charming hotel is slap bang in the center of Florence. Two minute walk to the Uffizi, one minute fro the statue of Neptune in Relaise Piazza Signora where we sat and watched the world go by. The Duomo was five minutes away. The antiques in the hotel were stunning. The restaurant was very reasonable for a 5 star establishment and the food was first class as was the service. Due to Florence marathon on Sunday and the 24 rail strike, which started on Saturday night, we had to extend our stay. The staff did everything they could to help us with alternate travel plans."

And the cocktails from the Winter Garden were amazing (the Klimt was to die for). My only complaint was the shower, in an otherwise perfect room, it was small and cramped.
