"We had a wonderful stay at the El Candil hotel in Havana. The hotel is spotlessly clean, wonderfully decorated and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Reception and general help by Rosabel & Guiomar is priceless, backed up by Nestor at night, all brilliant guys. The rest of the staff are also lovely, helpful and attentive too. "Alive was a great host and very kind and helpful, the breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in my travels, the room is super comfortable which was not expected from seeing the area around. It’s in a very run down area of Havana but do not worry it is super safe and I walked around at night so don’t let this put you off. There is some great bars close by and very friendly people "
