The hotel is right next to the train, and our initial room was right on the tracks, so it would have been a little noisy (though to be fair, it’s actually quite well soundproofed, all things considered. "Hotel is in a run down area, room is large and comfortable although fixtures and fitting are old and could do with being updated. Bathroom door frame is badly scratched. Bathroom is in good condition. Chose hotel due to fairly close proximity to brooklyn cruise port and is good for an overnight stay. But there is very limited dining options in the area. If you are staying in new york for a couple of days manhattan may be a better choice."
