"I was at the. Celtic Manor Resort for one night, a Friday before Easter. What a lovely stay, room with a view out over the city and onto the Severn Estuary. A really clean, spacious room with a walk in shower and bath, comfy beds and really quiet. I used the swimming pool, which is a lovely size and has a couple of Saunas and steam rooms, again really clean. Staff were lovely, everywhere I went and so helpful. Breakfast was busy but so much food and again clean and efficient. A lovely stay...

"This was an overnight stay while working locally and this place was chosen for its location and the fact that it’s a pub as well. The room was nice but could do with some TLC but I was very comfortable. The Flodden Tree This tree was planted to commemorate Thomas de Berkeley's actions in successfully commanding a large troop on men at the battle of Flodden in 1513. He was rewarded with the honour of knighthood on the field of battle for his services from the Earl of Surrey, who commanded the English army. The ground around the tree has built up over the centuries and relatively recently it was showing signs of suffocation of the roots, hence the depression now excavated around the base to alleviate the problem.
