"The location was ideal for our purposes. The staff were helpful and friendly and we enjoyed our meals(evening meal and breakfast). The only complaints we had were that we struggled to get the tempersture of our room right - the weather was very cold- and the lighting in the restaurant was rather subdued making it difficult to read the menu!"

"Drain was partially blocked in shower. Clearly an ongoing issue as there was pre existing water damage to floor and skirting. £10 for a limited gym is very excessive, there is a hotel chain that offers masses top range equipment with pool/sauna facilities at £5. WiFi login a little laborious. Room was very clean and comfortable. Food was nice and restaurant decor/set up is fantastic. Staff was exceptional, impeccably well presented, refreshing to see people taking such pride and professionalism...

"We had a fabulous time at the palace hotel. The room was lovely and clean and it had a tremendous view of Buxton. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel,both were great, service and quality of the food. We will be back in June as we have booked tickets for a show at Buxton Opera House. I was unaware that the swimming pool has a charge of £6 and an extra £2 for a towel. This is not advertised anywhere on reception that I could seem"
