Bit disappointed at breakfast staff were slow coming round with coffee pot in the end I didn’t bother with coffee as I had finished my breakfast. The breakfast itself was good for self service.

This property is amazing. Just think? you are staying in a 1500's character established Home that is now a Hotel it made my daughter and I feel so special, the staff are kind and accommodating and the Breakfast is amazingly delicious and plentiful. Stayed at the hotel many times. It has gradually deteriorated,over the last few years very few staff around, lounges downstairs were cold, breakfast adequate in choice sausage and bacon poor quality I don’t think we’ll be staying again. Room was ok.

I would NEVER deal with this property and chain again. Because of flight changes, we asked to delay our arrival by one day, and instead add TWO days on the end. They flatly refused to do this, even tho to their benefit, repeatedly stating that these were the rules for the group. On arrival, they expressed surprise when we arrived "one day late, and the front desk were completely indifferent to the whole situation. So we stayed elsewhere for THREE extra nights in the end. And for good measure, the hotel itself is tired, regardless of age. Some rear ends need kicking around the whole place.

A proper old fashioned hotel staff were excellent and room was lovely. Had to cut short our stay due to an unforeseen death in the family but will be rebooking in the new year.

Lovely character hotel, nice and warm and comfortable. Nice food, although we did have an issue with slow service of the pre-theatre meal, apparently due to staffing issues, but the assistant manager did apologise on our check out and said he would look into and address the issues. However breakfast was good, well cooked and plenty of choice.
