"The bedroom had no lighting above the mirror to dry and style your hair . It Might of been just room 20 that suffered from poor lighting . My parents had room 21 and that had a balcony , and seemed to have better lighting "

I ordered a drink a the bar and I actually explained to the lady how to do it - it was just an Apperoll spritz- nothing fancy). "this is our 4th stay at Rothay and it remains one of our favourites in the lakes. in winter it’s great to cosy up after a long walk in the garden spa, and the rooms and ambience is really comfortable without any pretentious swagger for which some of the other hotels in the area would charge you £100 per night more. breakfast is good quality and staff are friendly and efficient "

"Lovely facilities and great atmosphere. Easy check in/out and clean room. The only issue I had was that the room itself was very cold throughout the night. But I did make the booking fairly last minute so it’s possible this was an oversight. "

"Stayed for 2 very comfortable nights. Hotel is clean with very good staff. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom really good too. Heating worked well and was easily controlled. The restaurant was very reasonably priced with good service. The breakfast was really good too. The first morning it was almost cold! But much better on the Friday morning. Parking very convenient too I would recommend this to others and would happily stay here again. "
