"We took a spontaneous trip to Malham Cove for a night away. This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes. The building is very old and reached over an old stone bridge or the beck (stream) Parking is available and the room was nicely furnished with views of the water and a very comfy bed. "Stopped over here on toute from Scotland to south Wales. Lovely old property filled with period furnishings. Huge room, very comfortable bed. Nothing was too much trouble for Kevin and Maria. Woukd highly recommend "

"Cold welcome from a blonde lady at reception who asked ‘can I help you’ when I walked in with my walking gear on. Perhaps she thought I was not good enough to stay there but compared to other stays this was unwelcoming! A smile and a welcome wouldn’t go amiss! Other than that The rest of the staff were lovely. The place is pretty and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s a lovely hotel. Breakfast was cold & didn’t finish it. Partner disappointed with his breakfast also. "

"Amazing location. Clean and comfy room. Fridge on landing where we could keep fresh dog food and milk, they can be noisy in the room so great idea. Needs to update to a decent coffee machine if the sign outside says ‘coffee house’. Only filter served and not very nice. Some really lovely, friendly staff. Would definitely come back. 9/10"

"the room was not warm enough and although mentioned to the staff, it was some time before the heating was sufficient. The tea maker was in a cupboard on the floor. This is the first time I have encountered this in a hotel, This was not easy to make the first cup of tea in the morning. "Really enjoyed our stay. Only negative was that the dinner menu was the same each night. The staff were very friendly and polite. A very dog friendly hotel too - you had the option to have meals in a nice room with your dog - this isn’t the case in some dog friendly hotels. Would stay again."
