Squeaky clean, warm, delightful old English charmed building in excellent condition throughout! Food is excellent, well presented and super tasty!!! A short walk opposite the property takes you to the most charming of Yorkshire market towns Howes. We will be back!!!! Great job to the whole team at Stonehouse Hotel "

"Overall, what a lovely stay. Il get the negatives out the way first! -We arrived on a Tuesday and the front desk isn’t open. We had no idea where to go and there were no instructions on the booking confirmation or website how to check in on Mondays and Tuesdays when the main desk is closed. We eventually were pointed to the white goose restaurant by a lovely older couple who’d also had the same problem when checking in, and were able to pick up our keys from there. Would be great if when booking they let you know what to do! - When we checked into the room, there were unfortunately still some slight marks in the toilet :/ Positives: - Beautiful grounds with plenty of parking right outside - Lots of really nice touches in the room such as robes and slippers, good quality shampoo and conditioner, vanity kits, water and milk in the fridge, and lovely coffee machine with biscuits - We ate at the white goose for pizza when we arrived and it was incredible - Breakfast was cooked to order and local products used… and fresh orange juice. Overall, we would absolutely come back!"
