"What a gem! Wonderfully located so you can walk straight on the moor by the hatter rocks. Fantastic breakfast, very comfortable rooms and very dog friendly. Our room was in the ground flooor opening out onto garden area, so perfect for taking the dogs out and having a coffee on the patio area. Lovely garden area for evening drinks. We had a wonderful time!"

"Spa lovely although not enough chairs when busy. Found mattress really hard and uncomfortable in room and sheets were not as good as premiere inn, scratchy. Also shirt of amenities you would expect such as shower cap, washcloth, bathroom amenities. In room hairdryer was cheap and took ages to dry, shame as could be really good, it’s like the spend all the money in the spa but not other little things you would expect when paying £160 per night "

"Brand new hotel. Very friendly, new, nice and eco friendly. Unfortunately no non alcoholic beers or Wines available. Also couldn’t connect to streaming on TV with my iPad. I’m sure they will iron out issues as only been open for a short period of time"

"Booked a single night. All the staff at the beach Club were very willing and friendly. The condition of our room was excellent. The bed exceptionally comfortable. Excellent shower. We used the spa facilities, which were not very busy except for the family swim period between 4 and 6pm (but it was during school, holidays). We would recommend the included continental breakfast. There was lots of choice and quality of the food was excellent."

"Hotel it's self was very basic and outdated. Positive: Rooms were clean and comfy. Very great size and location. Very close to the pier and amenities. Parking on site which is very helpful with a busy beach front. Negatives: Paint peeling off the ceiling and mouldy lampshade could do with being replaced. TV signal was very spotty, unable to watch any channels. WiFi was spotty and not really usable in room. Bedroom heater left on full when we arrived making the room extremely uncomfortable...

"Staff Very polite and helpful ,food in the morning was very good,, cleaning staff did an excellent job keep the room and facilities clean. The swimming pool was a nice bonus which i used first thing in the morning. Would recommend this hotel."

"Great hotel. Top tip - follow the hotel’s instructions on driving to the hotel. We followed our satnav / GPS and ended up in “the lanes” which are scary narrow roads. The walks from the hotel are stunning along the coastline. Dinner a bit pricey. "

"Good hotel for the price. Room was clean and had the basics. Only downside it was quite noisy at night being next to a main road. Other than that it was a pleasant stay "

"Nice village pub. The ale was excellent. Pretty small room with tiny bathroom. Overall enjoyed our stay. We ate at the pub and the food and choice was pretty good. The fish pie was a little dissapointing, didnt see a prawn, and no smoked haddock to give flavour. Some nice walks by the river. Unfortunately didnt have time for the long walk to the coast and Ladram bay. A pity there was not close parking to do that."
