"We received such a lovely warm welcome from Vanessa and Cameron on arrival at the Millbrook, which immediately made us feel at home. "Woww is all i can i say about our stay. We had a fabulous night. Peter was just the best host ever. He has a wonderful caring nature and really delivered a wonderful experience. The hotel is gorgeous and probably the best comfortable room we have ever stayed in. To top it all off the breakfast was astounding with a huge selection of continental fare. Winter Break

"The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but inside the grand high ceilings and decoration are fabulous. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room a deluxe sea view was fantastic (Rm 124) with a balcony and a view of Torbay, even from your bed. The decoration was a little tired but the room amenities were good, including separate dressing room. A small fridge would have been a nice edition though. Also we accept it is an old building but the lack of power sockets by the bedside tables was a little issue, also no USB sockets. The Spa was a little disappointing as the Steam Room was not working and Saunas are segregated but we enjoyed a lovely swim never the less. The breakfast was a fantastic choice with continental and a hot selection although if you arrived later some of the more exotic choices did not get re-filled which was a shame but the service was brilliant. Highly recommended and well worth the price with a great location only 5 mins walk from town. We will definitely be back."

Classy, traditional and great staff

"It's a traditional, classy hotel. Service can be a little stretched at reception but the quality of the staff generally is a cut above the average for this grade of hotel. The restaurant is a reslly good experience. Although the menu is slightly limited the quality of the ingredients and the presentation is superb. The breakfast is full of choices and variety (with the exception of kippers as I recall - and possibly porridge...). The presentation is excellent again although cooking your own toast doesn't fit with the otherwise classy experience. There's plenty of free parking for guests, it's close to the shops, it's opposite the pier and it's a charming and elegant place to take a break. Paignton is lovely too."

Great stay at the Redcliffe Hotel.

"We enjoyed an excellent short break at the Redcliffe Hotel. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us and our two dogs and the room was perfect for our needs (although the sea view room was not available as it wasn't one of their pet friendly rooms but they found us a great alternative). Lovely pool area too which the kids loved and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back for another stay. "

Fabulous property for a large group

"Our extended family stayed at The Old Mill between Christmas and New Year. To say that the property is spacious would be an understatement! Every room is generous.The kitchen is very well equipped with absolutely everything you could want to cater for a large group. Plenty of mugs (easy to run out when there's lots of you, so much appreciated), plates and cutlery. There's a large oven which easily accommodates mass catering. I wouldn't hesitate to cook a Christmas lunch there!The lounge area is massive, with plenty of comfy seating. The dining table again, is huge with comfy chairs. We had 2 children with us - there was lots of room for their toys (which we took with us). There are a few games and books in the property for children. The 4 year old enjoyed the football/games table upstairs. The beds were very comfortable - excellent bedding. Luxurious towels. In fact, everything you could need.Finally, the owners were on-hand and very responsive to any requests. The small garden is charming but not completely safe for toddlers - not a problem for us in the wintertime.***** review from us!"
