"Loved my first stay in the Municipal! Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food, but did enjoy cocktails in the bar, which itself is grand and luxurious. We didn’t realise we had to pay separately for the spa and book ahead - my fault for not checking - but we managed to get a slot on Sunday morning from 8 - 10 and it was so worth it. Spent two lovely hours swimming, relaxing and enjoying the variety of different sensory experiences. Because we had to book, it was not overcrowded and we felt we had plenty of personal space. We came out feeling both invigorated and relaxed. Our hotel room was pristine and extremely comfortable. We loved all the period features of this grand building with its stone floors, wide corridors and high ceilings. The staff were all extremely friendly, welcoming and professional. The hotel is ideally located to explore the Albert Dock and surroundings. Will definitely come back and can’t wait for a return visit. What a luxurious treat!"
