"Very unique hotel. I think it has the potential for top notch ratings. The only reason I knocked a star off was due to the poor service at the hotel dining. They have zero sense of when food should be brought out, and there were 4 staff members standing around talking and had to constantly flag them down to get any service at all. "

"Had stayed at another property about a mile away but wanted a couple of nights here for the spa. The massages were so good that we booked a 2nd one the following day. The spa facilities were nice, although there wasn’t an actual (hot and cold) baths as advertised. The jacuzzi with jets was cooler water while the small pool was warmer water. Would have preferred the opposite. The outside pool was nice but the weather didn’t cooperate for us to enjoy. The hotel overall was very nice and...

"The hotel was short of housekeeping staff, for this reason they were cleaning my room around 6 pm. Totally unacceptable, the breakfast buffet is ok but you may consider going to Solesta for the same price with better food. "

"The hotel is a great little oasis of quiet right off of a crazy busy street. Staff are friendly and efficient. The food service is acceptable, and better restaurants are a walk (if you are confident enough to cross the street) or a short taxi ride away. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet."

"I really enjoyed Quinta Esencia. It was walkable to Zocalo and all points of interest even a fantastic restaurant on premises. The only pitfall was a very loud and popular bar directly below the hotel…music goes from about 8pm-1:30am Thursday-Saturday. This hotel is not handicap accesible, it’s an older Casona gorgeous by the way. Other than that, was a nice stay. "
