"I’ve stayed at many ryokan in different parts of Japan; Yukairou Kikuya is by far the best. Not only does it have flawless service, beautiful rooms and superb food, but it has famously beneficial onsen water in baths that range from in-room to private to a larger “public” one that I nevertheless had all to my self. The baths are often outdoors in private gardens, which enhances the experience. I also had a shiatsu massage that ranks among the best of my life. I can’t recommend Kikuya highly...

"The bathroom that is separated from the toilet has lots of natural light and wonderful view. The room is spacious and clean. Good value for the prince. The breakfast buffet was great but it would have been nicer if they also serve simple dinners besides reservation only, pricy buffet dinner since there is no dining options nearby. "It’s a lovely luxury vacation resort. Beautiful, well equipped. Shower is very powerful (not all hotels have that). Outdoor Onsen bath per room with sea view is the best. "Amazing hotel with excellent food, drinks and views. Had a room with the hot tub on the terrace and I was using this a lot during my two day stay. One word of caution if you come by train and with luggage: the slopes are very steep so I suggest to use a taxi which will set you back around 1250 JPY."
