"My hotel room was amazing - everything is so high tech. You control all the electricals with the ipad, the TV rises up from the drawer. I feel so comfortable staying in the room. The amenities and pajamas are so thoughtful. I got an amazing view of the ocean from my room. Amazing breakfast... I love their DIY freshly squeezed mikan. It's the best I've ever had. From then I learned Izu is famous for their oranges. That's why there's orange trees growing everywhere in people's homes. The walk to Atami station is 10 min - lots of stairs to climb as Atami situates on mountains. There's no shuttle service so you have to get there yourself. That's not a problem for me as we drove there. Lots of parking spaces available. "

"The room is excellent - the highlight of my trip. The furnishing looks very new. Room is clean. This is the first time I've ever felt like I was treated like a queen. Upon arrival, they helped us park our car and unload our luggage and brought to our room. They took our shoes and stored with them upon arrival. We were greeted with snacks and coffee while waiting for check-in. Then the hotel manager kindly walked us through the hotel amenities and room. They then helped us set up the room for dinner and cleaned the table and set up the bed after dinner. Truly felt like a queen here. The only two things I'd say is if dinner include other meat options (we were pretty sick of eating fish for several days in a row) and getting to the hotel by car was a challenge. There was a very sharp turn so you had to drive out a bit and do a u-turn. After that, there was a very steep downhill. For those driving by car, be careful! Other than that, everything was top notch."

"This hotel has a small hot springs bath. Because it's small you need to follow rules but rules in English are posted everywhere. Washing machine with detergent is free. Dryer is only 100 yen for 20 min. Very nice little town "
