I normally stay at Marriott properties, but there weren’t any in the area so I picked this place based on location and price. It was ideal to see the city center and close to the beach.

Check-in process is automated via a kiosk. If you are arriving at the hotel earlier then your check-in time there are luggage lockers to store your baggage before you check-in. Breakfast is served in the mornings and is a small serving of ochazuke with a drink. Although they have instructions in english the process is still confusing. The room was spacious (for Japan). My only complaint is that the luggage lockers cannot be used when you are checking out.

Nice clean hotel, conveniently located near the station and the bus terminal. Lots of places to eat within a 5-10 min walk. Note you can’t store your bags at the hotel after checkout, even in the storage lockers - you can use the lockers at Atami station or one of the places across the road from the station.

Probably the most convenient location in town. Right next to JR and Shinkansen but you don’t hear the trains at all. Bus stop right in front, or walk 100 meters to the train station and all the buses stop there too. Shopping, food, mall, dessert, everything is within a 5 min walk. The beach is a 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes by bus. Super friendly staff, spacious, modern rooms. Will stay again! 10/10!

Computerized check in and check out is not bad but also not personalised. Breakfast service is a joke. Food is so limited only a bowl of rice and a little of preserved veggy.. it is so mean. The laundry service is good although a little pricy. One step washing and drying, 500 yen for two hours finishing. And you can check the laundry condition from your room TV. Very convenient.

We loved our stay in Prince Smart Inn Atami - downstairs is modern and stylish with a cafe where you can get your free breakfast each morning (rice ball and hot drink). The room (and private bathroom) were very spacious for Japan, it was clean with a smart TV and good AC and a fridge. The bed was really comfy, we didn't want to leave!

This is super clean and convenient business hotel. This hotel has everything you need. High tech coin laundry which you can monitor the progress from your room. Free breakfast. Super safe. Even they didn’t take the tip I left for housekeepers. It’s right next to main station but super quiet in and out. All kinds of shops are right there.

This was a perfect location for a quick stopover two nights one day in Atami. Smart room - check in and out was smooth. And the Japanese breakfast with decent coffee option hit the spot. Small breakfasts work for us. We recommend the floors get a better cleaning - sticky floor which was surprising as the place was spotless otherwise. Perhaps a mop was not functioning? Anyway we really found the price value excellent. Thank you.

Great choice in Atami
Prince Smart Inn was well priced and has all the needed amenities. A quick walk from the train station and local area buses. Easy then to get around to attractions like the Ropeway. Clean room. Nice cafe. Pleasant staff. No view out the window but was quiet.
