"Great Hotel, within easy walking distance of York City Centre – 10-12 mins max.Room was very clean and spacious with a good-sized TV (55Inch) and a good selection of teas and coffees provided . Bar was clean and well stocked , good selection of fines and beers and reasonable prices. Plenty of onsite parking @ £17 per night – not cheap, but not extortianate for a major tourist spot like York . Will go again. "

Let down this time by breakfast service, only two staff trying to clear tables, take orders and ensure replenishment of self service area, that said the hot breakfast was delicious."

"Positives: Friendly check-in and staff. Clean good-size room. Good price for York. Hotel seems in good condition. Neutral: Mistake made at check-in which would have charged me twice for the room had I not checked. It was sorted out quickly when pointed out. Negative: Breakfast had a good selection but coffee is from an automatic machine and not good. Both had Eggs Benedict which wasn't great. "

"Lovely hotel, really easy check in. I’m a wheelchair user the lift is a little tight for a larger wheelchair and another person but doable, just. They didn’t have a wheelchair accessible room for 3. But the room we stayed in was large and I was able to get in with my chair. The bathroom wasn’t big enough to get my chair in . The hotel was clean, smells lovely, room was clean apart from mould on the nets."

"Amazing hotel worth every penny, great central location and best hotel I have stayed in York. Room was huge had corner sofa and lots of nice touches including robes, proper mugs, ear plugs, eye mask, bottled water and a huge king size bed. Excellent service by the staff and breakfast was beautiful full English or can order off the menu very healthy no fat at all."

"We had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and it was so quiet. There is parking, a coffee machine available 24/7 and fresh croissants in the morning. The only issue I had was that the mattress was so hard it was like sleeping on concrete so I didn’t get very much sleep but the firmness of mattresses is a personal preference. "
