"Me and my new husband spent our wedding night here absolutely perfect. We arrived late and the night manger was perfect warm greeting and showed us to our room to our surprise he was there for breakfast as well. The room was perfect we was greeted by a dove in our room in the morning which we are taking as good luck. The spa facilities were brilliant and relaxing as well thank you so much everything was perfect "

"Comfortable stay. Nice big room, with everything we needed. The only problem was room service. Order a dinner past 10:30 and it never arrived. Had to ask for a refund. The man on the desk explained the team don’t always look at the orders as the chef goes home at 10. So really shouldn’t be advertising as 24hour room service. "

"First visit here with a group of friends celebrating a birthday. Good size room with huge tv and a balcony overlooking the golf course. Fantastic hotel, good food and great service."

"Beautiful family room which was huge annd had everything we needed. Everyone was welcoming and we received amazing service by the front desk staff. Pool was clean and nicely warm. Lovely trail for little ones to follow around grounds. Breakfast was simple - would be great to add some fresh fruit and yogurt options to go with buffet. Would definitely stay again. "

"It was clean tidy. Welcome was so-so. Had to park on the street, it was free, but a little away from the Hotel. I was a bit noisy as we were next to the lift. Fortunately the hotel was not very busy. It could have a lot worse if there had been any noisy or rowdy guests."

"Beautiful location, very relaxing and a step back into history at the same time. Only real criticism was that the bathroom windows would not close properly as they were clearly written and in need of repair. As regards Champneys, nice facility, however, clearly getting tired with plaster falling off adjacent to the sauna and the showers in need of an update. The staff were all very helpful and always on hand. "

"The secluded countryside location was idyllic, contemporary room with extremely comfortable bed. A bench outside the lodge would have, in my opinion, added to the experience. The staff here were fabulous and a special thanks goes to the guy behind the bar who helped me back to my room, a real gentleman. I would recommend a stay here for anyone looking for old fashioned and quintessential english welcome and experience"

"Very well presented hotel in central Rye, right on the high street. Great well appointed room with a luxury en suite and super comfortable bed. The bar was great and gives you the option to drink after the pubs shut (early in Rye). The restaurant was well designed and decorated like the rest of the hotel though we eat at Fletchers for dinner. The hotel’s breakfast was the only thing I wouldn’t give 5 stars for but it didn’t spoil our stay particularly it was just wasn’t very tasty or...

"Lovely hotel room was above expectation. Prices very reasonable. Awakening in the morning to realise there were no towels but rectified with a call to reception. Breakfast was tasty but a bit on the cold side. Definately recommend the hotel to all my friends and will visit again when in the area "
