"Lovely old hotel in the midst of a major renovation. We were booked into a newly renovated room which was nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. There was some noise from renovations on weekdays but it was not particularly bothersome. The location is great - essentially equidistant between the Abbey and Roman Baths and the Circus and Royal Crescent. Buffet breakfast was very good and staff was inviting and helpful. Overall a very nice hotel. "

"Parking was fast and easy, multi storey car park right next to the hotel free of charge for hotel residents. Hotel is very centrally located, everything within walking distance. Hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was very good, plenty of selection both continental and full hot english breakfast."

"The first night I had the sirloin steak and it was cooked beautifully and they did a dpecial side salad as I could not have chips. And had a cute towel as an elephant on the bed."

"Stayed here for a weekend while attending a food festival. This hotel is within walking distance of Bristol Temple Meads station, is good value for money, has friendly staff and the rooms are pretty spacious. Would definitely stay here again!"
