"The location was ok, close to the Metro Centre & other shopping options. The room was a bit tired looking and SO hot, the options are having the heater on or off, theres no thermostat to adjust the room temperature. The bed was a double which was rather cosy! Probably my fault for not checking that on booking. Breakfast is included, it was ok. The hash browns were a bit soggy & the bacon was underwhelming. Staff at breakfast seemed more intent on loudly discussing their lives in the kitchen...

"A lovely overnight stay at Gateshead. Clean spacious room with a very large (King) bed. Could have done with taking some light shoes or slippers as the floor was not carpeted although this was good for hygiene. Good breakfast with excellent quality sausage and bacon. Eggs were replaced frequently. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Stayed over after a gig at The Glasshouse (5 minutes walk)."

"Decent enough hotel that gives you everything you need at an affordable price. Good value for money but it’s not the most glamorous. Rooms and communal areas a little dated but to be expected with high volumes they presumably have of guests. Front desk service was great.
