"Brilliant hotel, unfortunately the food let it down. We had an evening meal wigh over cooked mixed grill and cold and the breakfast came cold. Definitely not worth eating here. Which is a huge shame as the hotel rooms are fantastic."

"Central location with ample parking. Staff were very welcoming and friendly on arrival. Check in was easy. Room was apportioned beautifully and extremely well equipped. Toiletries were lovely. Bed was comfortable. Everything was immaculately clean. As there is a fridge in the room I’d prefer to see small, recycle able cartons of milk rather than single use sachets of milk."

"Stayed here a couple of times and there is a lovely vibe. The rooms are an absolute electric mix of modern and antiques, beds are comfy and there is plenty of space. All rooms are very different so if you want a bath or shower in particular, make sure you check the details. Food in the pub is amazing, staff are very welcoming and the chef accommodated my dietary request without hesitation."

"Good value, very modern & clean, bathroom large. Bed & pillows a bit hard but preferences differ, one bedside cabinet had drawer missing & framed picture on wall stained with what looked like red paint, bathroom door creaked loudly. Little things but not to be put off as excellent. Reception staff lovely, friendly, efficient. Appreciated complimentary croissants & hot drinks in reception area. Thanks."

"We had a lovely couple of nights in the hotel The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean and comfortable Although it is situated about 25 mins walk from the centre we found 2 great pubs nearby. "

A nightmare half term stay for the children

"Very disappointed with this stay booked for the family (2 adults and 4 children) months in advance for the half term. The advert said that it was suitable for the 6 of us. When we got there, there was a king sized bed (very comfortable) and 2 single beds but no made up sofa bed for the remaining 2 guests. The sofa was filthy with stains of food and drink. After calling the lady who sent the check in details, was informed of how to prepare the sofa bed, but on pulling out the bottom, there were food residues found on that part. Complained to the lady who said that the owner would call us the next day to discuss but this did not happen. Found a stained towel- made me question whether it had been laundered properly. The bathroom was lovely as was the kitchen bit A little cramped -? converted loft on 3rd floor. Room a little cold but given helpful instructions on how to correct this. The children were forced to sleep together on the single bed - suffice to say that this was not comfortable and were falling out. Incidentally, checking in instructions were spot on. "

Great family holiday stay

"A very clean, spacious property. Small sitting out area at the back and small garden at the front. But, cross the road and you're on the beach. Fantastic situation and fantastic views from the house along the coast to the lighthouse. Excellent beach for children. Dogs are allowed on several areas of the beaches as well. We had a couple of dogs with us and they loved it! The beaches were kept clean, which is important when children are playing on it. Good area with lots of places to visit with children; aquarium, mini golf, castles, as well as some excellent walks along the coastline. If I was being critical I would say that the first floor bedroom would be better with a full size wardrobe. The kitchen could be improved with a few more implements. We couldn't find a pair of scissors or a whisk. Overall it was an excellent holiday let and I would recommend it without hesitation."
