"Bar and rooms were clean. Lady who checked us in at the bar was friendly and gave the information required about codes/keys. Our room was direct above the bar and looked over the smoking entrance so was loud until closing. Overall a great, comfortable stay. "Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location overlooking Hope park. The room was immaculate, the bed was great, bathroom spotless and the views have to be some of the best in Keswick. ALL the staff were very helpful and the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was also fantastic with everything local and fresh. All in all a fantastic place to stay, thank you."

"Fantastic location, convenient base for short Ullswater stay. Staff mostly great and welcoming, rooms very clean, corridors and paintwork showing wear and many scuffs. Room tea coffee facilities excellent, evening meal was very average and probably over priced. Breakfast, service and overall environment lovely and excellent service. Set us up well for the day and one of the nicest breakfasts I've had. Would definitely consider a return stay when in Ullswater. "
