"When we stay in Sydney, we always choose The Great Southern Hotel. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. The light rail is close by and it is easy to get around. Also a nice breakfast for a reasonable price."

"It was an overnight stay, I had a good deal $230 for NYE. Perfect as it's next to tram stop. Its spacious, clean & location is next to China Town/Haymarket, perfect spot with plenty of eateries. "

"Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was large and clean although bathroom was a bit awkward. Older facility, not handicap accessible. Note, they do not claim to be, and we still managed. Overall a decent stay."

"I love this hotel because of the best location. Its central to everything such as walking distance to public transports, shops and cafes and famous landmarks. Even though its located centrally, the room is very quiet and has comfy beds for a good night sleep. I definitely would love to come back. "

"The location is great being so close to Hyde Park and Town Hall Station. Lots of good food and shopping in the galleries underground and everywhere around. I used this as just a place to sleep which was central to many walkable destinations like Barangaroo, Oxford Street, George St. It’s bare bones and the price was good for what I needed."
