"This is a beautiful property situated across the bay from Grundarfjordur and the stunning Kirkjufell mountain. The bedroom was very spacious, as was the bathroom. The kitchen is perfect for multiple travelers to utilize at once and had plenty of basic spices, cooking and dining ware. I would happily stay here again! This was one of my favorite places I stayed in Iceland."

It ended up being the perfect location to stop after 1 day travel from Reykjavik and partway around the Snaefellsnes peninsula. We were cold and tired by that point and the Fosshotel was so comfortable on our arrival. The fireplace in the lobby was very inviting.
