The room was fine, but all the other aspects are terrible. The hotel sent me 2 identical check in instructions after I made the reservation and on the day of the reservation saying that it's a self check-in process and a map of the resort. We followed the instructions: my name will be on the window of the main door of the room and the room will be open after 4 pm, but there was no name all at the house , the door was NOT open either. We thought we messed up our room number and followed the instructions again that we could find a room number list inside the greenhouse. There was NO room number list in the greenhouse. I called the front desk and the reception asked me to go to the restaurant. We went to the place labeled as "breakfast" on the map provided by the hotel, the place was not the restaurant. We had to drive around the resort to find the restaurant. I am amazed that every single check-in detail provided by the resort is completely wrong.
We had dinner at the restaurant. There were only 3 groups of people at the time, yet it took them 50 minutes to get our food. The food wasn't great either. The beef tenderloin was overcooked, and it tasted gamey. We also ordered a lobster bisque, and it was supposed to have bread coming along with the soup, yet the bread came 5 minutes after the soup was served, and it was darn cold. With the quality being so low, the food was surprisingly expensive. It was around the same price as a fancy fine dining restaurant in Reykjavík.
